Iron Chef

At Executive Chef Events we have three primary ways for you to experience team-building events with your team. Let us guide your group on a unique culinary adventure in person, or in a virtual environment. You can choose from the Iron Chef, Culinary Challenges or Cooking Classes

THE IRON CHEF

In this friendly culinary competition guests are welcomed by an executive reception with hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Guests then slip on chef hats and aprons and are divided into teams each of which will whip up (with the guidance of our fun and talented chefs) a three course meal in a fun head-to-head competition. to be crowned the evening’s cook-off champion. Teams have access to an extensive pantry and large table of fresh produce and ingredients, giving everyone an empty canvas to be creative and try exciting new ideas

Once the cooking is finished everyone is invited to sit down, relax, and enjoy their culinary creations as the Emcee reveals the winning team and guests are awarded trophies. When the evening is over, each guest leaves with new cooking skills, a full belly, and memories of a great time in the company of new friends.

MENU

 

Each team works with its chef to design and cook a multi-course menu from scratch at our cooking competition events, so the final dishes that will be served will vary, but will always consist of the following courses:

  • seasonal salad course

  • entree course: protein* plus vegetable and/or starch side, prepared by guests during the competition.

  • tasty decadent dessert course

*Protein Upgrade Options:

 

  • Beef: Strip, Flank or Skirt Steak 

  • Combination: Both Beef and Chicken Options 

  • Specialty: Seasonal Seafood or Filet of Beef 

  • Specialty Combination: Combination of Specialty Proteins 

  • Vegetarian: All menus include vegetarian and special dietary options (no charge)

  • Halal: Halal protein can be provided upon request 

 

Protein upgrade costs are TBD depending on type(s) of protein chosen and event location. Please inquire 


Let us know in advance of any dietary restrictions and food allergies your guests may have and we'll make special arrangements to ensure that these folks are well taken care of and, of course, well fed.

PRICING

 

Our signature cooking competitions begin at $115 per guest and includes, non-alcoholic beverages, 3-course sit-down banquet meal, chef hats & trophies for each member of the winning team.

​

Additional charges include a 20% production fee, venue, alcoholic beverages, and party rentals.

​

  • SF Bay Area, Southern CA and Dallas Areas: 16 guests minimum

  • Rest of country: 50 guests minimum

    • Travel fees may apply​

CULINARY CHALLENGES

Culinary Challenges are cocktail style events with a casual and lighter program, but packed with all the fun, excitement and of course great food. Upon arrival your group will slip on chef hats and aprons and be divided into teams that will compete in a fun food-themed challenge against the clock and each other to be crowned the grand challenge champion.

Executive Chef's corporate team building activities begin with a demonstration by our professional chefs of the culinary skills necessary to tackle the challenge and then the challenge begins! And of course, when the challenge is over everyone is invited to taste each teams creations.

Culinary challenges can also be paired with a thematic buffet meal  for an additional cost and beverage services provided by one of our beverage catering partners.

Our culinary challenge programs are priced starting at $95 per guest and includes, non-alcoholic beverages, chef hats for all, and trophies for each member of the winning team.

Additional charges include a 20% production fee, venue, alcoholic beverages, and party rentals. Pricing does not include a sit-down meal. Thematic meal can be added at an additional cost.

COOKING CLASSES

Our cooking classes are a fantastic way to bring your team closer together, celebrate achievements, or just let off some steam. 

In this casual and fun event guests will work together to create a delicious multi course meal while learning the secrets to a new cuisine, all with the guidance of our fun(ny!) and talented chefs. 

 

Once the cooking is finished everyone is invited to sit down, relax, and enjoy their culinary creations. Each guest will leave with newfound culinary abilities, a full belly, and memories of a great time in the company of new and old friends...the rest is culinary history.
